About the Role

We are seeking experienced and professional Chefs, ideally from an Armed Forces or military catering background, to join our catering team supporting operations at Cyprus.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in structured, high-tempo environments and understand the importance of delivering consistently high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service.

Successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals to military personnel and other authorised users of the base facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook and present meals in accordance with menu specifications and company standards.
Ensure all food safety, HACCP and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
Monitor food quality, stock levels and minimise wastage.
Support menu planning and food preparation activities.
Work effectively within a team in a fast-paced operational environment.
Ensure all equipment is operated safely and maintained correctly.
Comply with all health, safety and security procedures associated with a military establishment.
Assist with stock control, deliveries and inventory management.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, Military Chef or Catering Professional.
NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent qualification.
Food Hygiene Certification.
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance standards.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining exceptional quality.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearance.

Desirable Requirements

Former Armed Forces Chef (Royal Navy, British Army, RAF or Commonwealth Forces).
Experience working within defence, government or remote-site catering operations.
Supervisory or team leadership experience.
HACCP qualification.
Experience catering for large-scale dining facilities.
